Appointed to establish a passive design strategy to increase the comfort conditions in a climate that experiences extremes of both cold and heat.

The brief is to specifically avoid the use of complex technologies that require high levels of maintenance.

The water management strategy looked at integrating storm water, fire water and domestic water system in order to reduce the cost premium in having separate potable and non-potable water supply systems.

Water was sourced from boreholes and rainwater harvesting to alleviate the intermittent mains water supply.
